A grammar-based approach ensures that students can communicate effectively through both writing and speaking. Just as importantly, high level listening skills are developed through the use of lectures, conversations, and interviews.

Schedule: Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Description
This course develops oral & written proficiency in the use of grammar structures of English. Each chapter has a pretest, grammar charts, oral exercises, and listening & writing activities. This class covers present, past, and future verb tenses, asking questions, nouns & pronouns, count & noncount nouns, possessives, and punctuation & meaning, and comparisons. The grammar is practiced in speaking, writing, and listening exercises.

Grammar 2A: 3 hours per week

Class Cost: Group class: $250/month
Class length: 3 months
Schedule: Monday from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon
Wednesday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am
Description

Conversation 3B: 6 hours per week
Level: Advanced
Description
This class develops essential speaking, listening, and presentation skills to help learners succeed with their academic and professional goals. Students connect ideas and express themselves by using story examples, giving reasons, repeating key points, clarifying, pausing effectively, rephrasing, varying pace and organizing information into a logical sequence. Students learn key academic skills as they engage with thought-provoking TED Talks and 21st century themes related to business, art, technology, and the environment

Textbooks & audio: $85 plus tax
Schedule: Saturdays from 10:00 am to 11:30 am
Sundays from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Description
This course is for students who want to deepen their understanding of the advanced grammar structures of English and to practice using the structures in controlled speaking exercises. You will study the full range of English grammar, from the sounds and forms of words to the organization and function of sentences and texts. This class covers verb tenses, nouns, pronouns, articles, active and passive voice, gerunds, and infinitives as well as adjective clauses, noun clauses, adverb clauses, and conditional statements. The grammar is practiced thru speaking, writing, and listening exercises.
